Our Story
Herb Planet was founded in 1999 in the heart of the North Carolina Piedmont.
We began with big beautiful dreams of sustainably growing medicinal plants and handcrafting healing herbal products.
Our dream has grown into a pure vision that includes
cultivating native, edible, endangered & at-risk medicinal plants.
The original herb garden continues to expand into the 10 acre property,
which is now certified as a Botanical Sanctuary through an organization called
United Plant Savers, established to protect habitat for threatened medicinal plants.
Many of the herbs that are utilized in our products are grown here on the farm.
We are Certified Naturally Grown, which means we (lovingly!)
adhere to organic practices, never using chemical fertilizers
and absolutely no pesticides or artificial practices are allowed.
Since 2000, our weekly deep connection with community herbalist Suki Roth
enables us to continue learning of the healing and nutritional power of plants.
